Janet's HomeJanet taught for 17 years and was an elementary principal for 17 years. She teaches classes for Black Hills State and has worked at TIE for 6 years, where she served as an evaluator for the EveryTeacher grant, worked with Meade school district's BLT, worked with the formative assessment institute in Lander, Wyoming, and worked with Rapid City data and standard retreats. She is currently working with the PIRLL grant which has two major aspects; having mentors (retired principals) work with principals in high need areas and working with aspiring leaders (teachers who want to receive a masters in administration).
She has one daughter, Autumn who is married to Craig Hatch. They live in Rapid City and have two dogs, a Samoyed and a blue sheltie. They are expecting their first grandchild in June.
